The Streaming Giant Chooses Perfect Actor for Bon Clay in One Piece Upcoming Installment
Baroque Works is poised to play a huge role in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, though the true confrontation isn’t set to occur until the next season, and a beloved, popular member has recently been selected.
The platform declared this week that the skilled actor will appear in the One Piece cast for the third season and will portray Mr. 2. Bon Clay possesses the power to transform into an identical duplicate of any person they’ve touched with their right hand. The performer, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a rendition of that character re-envisioned as non-binary, instead of as a drag performer, in the live-action show, unlike the source material and cartoon version.
This performer is joined by multiple recently announced actors tasked with bringing the organization to reality, including head the main antagonist, played by the well-known actor, an emerging star as a key member, and a familiar face, who is also part of the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of the fictional land.
Though this character is a key figure of the group, the individual won’t appear until One Piece the upcoming installment. Given the second season likely to portray the Little Garden arc, this signals a major departure in the schedule of their first appearance, one that could signal more adjustments to the story’s structure.
The actor’s combination of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a ideal selection for the role. In addition to their latest vocal work in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and numerous honors for creating and performing in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, showcasing the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s highly regarded roles.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is set to return for its second season on March 10, 2026.
