Latest Refinery Assault Reveals 'No Protected Places in the Russian Deep Rear'

Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have hit Russia's Bashneft facility in Ufa, located approximately 1,400 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, triggering blasts and a inferno, per a source in the Ukrainian intelligence agency.

Ukrainian President Calls On US President to Broker Truce in the Conflict

In Russia's frontier area of Belgorod, a truck driver was lost his life by a Ukrainian strike, per regional authorities.

Power Repair Efforts in Kyiv

Operations carried on on Saturday to restore power in Kyiv, after Russian attacks.

Power had been restored to over 800,000 citizens by Saturday and the biggest utility provider said the key work to recover electricity was complete though some outages persisted.

Air Defence Operations and Drone Interceptions

Ukraine's air defences intercepted or jammed 54 of seventy-eight Russian drones launched towards Ukraine overnight, the aerial defense command said on the weekend.

Russia's defense officials said it intercepted forty-two drones over its own soil.

Cuba Rejects Allegations of Deploying Troops to Ukraine

Havana on Saturday refuted American allegations it has deployed troops to fight in the hostilities, while declaring officials in Havana "do not have accurate details about citizens of Cuba" involved "independently" or "within the troops of the conflicting parties".

The ministry in the capital stated 26 Cuban citizens had been convicted to prison terms from five up to fourteen years for mercenary involvement since the autumn of 2023 when reports circulated of individuals being sent to the frontlines in the conflict.

The program, a Ukrainian government program that encourages adversaries to give up, said in spring: "Our information indicates the identities and information of 1,028 individuals who signed contracts with the Russian armed forces in recently."

The Cuban authorities said of Cubans who might be participating: "Undeniably that no individual possesses the support, dedication, or consent of the Cuban state for their activities."

Family members of Cuban nationals who departed to Russia in the year told Agence France-Presse at the time that their family members had been tricked into joining through ads on social media.
