Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Real-time updates features live text of Sunday's games on various channels, starting with the Broncos-Jets clash in London (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Also, radio commentary can be heard through designated networks for another key matchup (beginning at 9 PM BST).

We're in the sixth week of the football calendar , after last week's talk regarding the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles as a potential Super Bowl match-up, they both surrendered their unbeaten records.

Notable during those contests was the number of penalties both conceded. Philadelphia did so in key moments so they essentially defeated themselves having led 17-3 going into the fourth period against Denver, set to play in London this weekend.

But it was positive to observe that Denver quarterback the rookie managed to have that deficit and then direct three scoring drives on three possessions during the final period, securing the game 21-17.

The Broncos boast the top defender in cornerback their star corner. They are number one in goal-line defense, while the Eagles lead the league in scoring near the end zone, and Denver won that contest.

They had the Eagles' number in terms of disguised blitzes. They did not always rushing more than four defenders instead they might position two linebackers in the 'A' gap before drop them out and send a nickel from the outside.

Early on of the season, we said on a program that Denver could be this season's dark horses. They ended the previous year well then did a good job in continuing that momentum.

Are the Denver Broncos this season's dark horses?

New TE Evan Engram has stepped up significantly and recent RB JK Dobbins is a player the team trusts. He now ranks 5th in the NFL for rushing yards (over 400) and tied-fourth for rushing touchdowns (four).

I love that the coach the Broncos' leader displays "RUSH!" prominently of his playcall sheet.

This demonstrates that the Broncos are a squad that wants to run first, because one can achieve much based on that approach. It reduces down the pass rush while keeps you in favourable situations.

It's also helped quarterback the young passer, who came the NFL as a first-round selection in the prior draft, throwing 29 TDs – second only to a star QB for the rookie record (31 back in 2020).

Other elite QBs possess the arm strength to throw anywhere, but they don't move in the same way that Nix has. He boasts incredible passing ability, a unique trait, plus he's so athletic.

His strengths include his movement, being able to pass while moving, and finding varied release points to deliver the pass as he moves out of the pocket, the bootlegs. He is able to throw precision throws over the middle or over the corner.

As a rookie QB, at 25, he displays a lot of poise under pressure and isn't bothered by the blitz. He tries to evade a sack whenever possible and can pass in tight spots. He has a high football IQ and remains quick to decide.

If you consistently run the ball it eats up the clock and makes the defence to stay in play extended periods, and when you've got a mobile QB the defense has to defend the area vertically and horizontally. This proves exhausting.

Nix has pushed back at Payton on the sideline at times and I think the coach appreciates that fire, seeing him as a fierce rival. In my view it's fun for the coach to coach a rookie QB who's kind of like moldable clay. The coach can truly develop him the way he wants to build it. I believe it's a special experience for the coach.

Payton owns a championship and now surpassed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He's seen it all. I think the success the Broncos are having offensively is largely down to his guidance, his schemes, his situational awareness – and the combination with the QB aids make him what he is.

There's no better a better guy in your ear, to assist you through difficult moments and boost confidence.

I have faith in Denver's defence, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. Yet are they strong enough to go against an elite team at its best? Because that wasn't championship-level play by the Eagles in their last game.

Right now, it's unlikely the Broncos are incredible. They're working better than most, that's a good place to hold their division. All they need is is maintain this trajectory.

They're really good at leaning into their strength, that is running the ball, and this is exactly what they must do against the New York Jets at Tottenham. It's going to be the JK Dobbins show, essentially.

The Jets have allowed 140 yards on the ground each contest (among the worst), five ground scores this season (10th worst), and they are the sole squad without a win any game.

Since the league started recording turnovers decades ago, the Jets are also the first team to be without a single takeaway in five outings, which is kind of shocking considering that the head coach was previously a defensive coach at the Detroit Lions.

Patrick Mahomes stated Kansas City have 'already lost too many games' following a recent loss by the Jaguars.

After the upcoming matchup, Denver have a manageable slate until their break (in week 12) - the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, the Texans plus Las Vegas Raiders prior to the Kansas City Chiefs.

In the AFC West, the Chiefs are 2-3 while Denver are tied with the Chargers at 3-2 so they could challenge for the top of the division.

It depends upon which form Kansas City shows up they meet since the Broncos {beat|def
