"A Fresh Competitor Has Arrived."
Across the extremely contested arena of gaming, it's usual for emerging rivals to disappear as rapidly as they explode onto the stage.
However Battlefield 6 is hoping to change that.
Here comes the latest entry in a long-standing combat FPS line often described as a more authentic response to the CoD series.
The franchise has not quite succeeded to rival its best-known opponent in aspects of sales or players, but indicators suggest the recent entry could narrow the difference.
An early access weekend enabling gamers a chance to test the game earlier this year achieved milestones, and the buzz approaching its debut has been massive.
But the undertaking is still a major gamble for company the gaming giant, which has reportedly allocated vast amounts of funds producing it.
We have talked to some of the creators to find out how they expect it will succeed.
Four studios are developing the project under the collaborative initiative.
They include original series producer the original team, headquartered in Sweden, California's Motive developers and Ripple Effect in North America.
The fourth, Criterion, is located in the UK.
A key leader is the studio head of the two European teams, and explains to reporters that, in regards of what it's delivering players, "Battlefield 6 is arguably unsurpassed."
The game comes off the heels of the sci-fi the last installment, launched previously to a negative reception it struggled to overcome.
"It's likely that we would find it impossible to build and design this new game lacking the lessons we had in the previous title," she tells us.
A key those lessons was to involve the community participating early, and the studio launched invite-only player playtests not long ago.
The "reaction was incredibly encouraging," comments Rebecka.
Another missing ingredient from Battlefield 2042 was a single-player campaign, which has been reintroduced in this version.
Criterion design director Fasahat "Fas" Salim is the person in charge of "ensuring those levels are as entertaining and compelling as can be for the audience."
Regardless of claims that the size of the game had created pressure for the multiple developers working together across continents to build the title, he is optimistic about the process.
"Partnering with different perspectives, different experiences, it's a truly engaging setting to be part of every day," he explains.
"This entire approach has been an innovation but also very exciting because we are partnering with individuals from all over the world."
As for the expectation on the crew, the director states: "We experience pressure but also it's thrilling.
"This is a big undertaking. It's arguably the most significant that many of us have previously participated in."
This is certainly correct of at least an individual developer, VFX specialist Vlad Kokhan.
This young professional creates the visual ambiance that influence the atmosphere, tone, and narrative of the story mode.
He completed an work placement at Criterion preceding obtaining a role there, and presently operates part-time while finishing his digital arts studies at the university.
Vlad explains he's a long-standing fan of the Battlefield series, and recollects experiencing the earlier title of the line at a buddy's place when he was younger.
Being on it currently, as his initial industry job, "seems unreal real."
"It's very crazy witnessing the advertising all around," he comments.
"To know that I have contributed my personal touch into the title is truly unbelievable."
This title's launch is anticipated to be a significant one, with analysts estimating it could distribute up to five millions {copies|units|versions
